This year, Fund Intelligence is marking the 25th anniversary of the Mutual Fund Industry Awards, slated to take place April 12 at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York.

The awards are now accepting nominations, including legacy categories and 11 new exchange-traded fund categories to recognize the top performers and innovators in the space.

The new ETF categories include:

  • ETF of the year
  • Smart-beta ETF of the year
  • ESG/Impact ETF of the year
  • Sales success – ETFs
  • ETF innovation

Over the 25 years since the awards’ inception, the fund industry has evolved significantly, weathering major shifts in regulation and distribution, investor trends, and market-changing events, such as the market-timing scandals of the early 2000s, and, more recently, the global financial crisis of 2008.

The awards have attempted to evolve right along with the market with the inclusion of new categories, recognition of new market channels, and reflection of the industry’s evolving values more broadly.

Nominations are due Feb. 9. For more information about the event, please click here, or email Fund Action editor Dervedia Thomas.
